Terms of Service

1. Who we are

DUMO Connect is provided by DUMO INNOVATIONS (company registration no. [to be filled in]), address [to be filled in], Malaysia ("DUMO", "we"). These terms apply between DUMO and the business that signs up for DUMO Connect ("you").

2. The service

DUMO Connect lets you send WhatsApp messages and links to your customers and other contacts, answer their messages automatically with your own ready answers and, if you switch it on, with AI, and connect your own systems through an API. It works with your own WhatsApp Business number through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform.

3. Your account

• Keep sign-in links and API keys secret. Anyone with them can act for your business.
• Your admins decide who on your staff gets access, and remove people who leave.
• Tell us at once if you think someone got into your account.

4. How you may use DUMO Connect

• Only message people who gave you their number and agreed to hear from you, or with whom you have another lawful reason to be in touch, as the PDPA requires.
• Follow WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies and Meta's terms. Meta may limit or block a number that breaks them.
• No spam, scams, harassment, illegal content, or content you have no right to send.
• Respect STOP. DUMO Connect stops messages automatically when someone replies STOP; do not try to get around it.
• Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of DUMO Connect, or reach other businesses' data.

5. WhatsApp and Meta

You connect your own WhatsApp Business account. Your relationship with Meta, including Meta's own charges for messages, is between you and Meta. Messages your business starts need templates that Meta approves; DUMO cannot promise Meta's approval or delivery times.

6. AI answers

AI answers are off until you switch them on. They use only the facts you give and hand the chat to your staff when unsure, but AI can still be wrong. Check your facts, try them with "Try it", and keep an eye on the chats. You are responsible for the answers sent in your name.

7. Your data and your customers' data

You own your data. For your customers' and contacts' personal data, you are the data controller and DUMO is your data processor: we use it only to provide DUMO Connect, on your instructions, and as described in our Privacy Policy and our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which forms part of these terms. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to give us that data.

Data is kept as set out in the Privacy Policy (for example, shared locations for 30 days and message text for 12 months). You can download or delete a person's data at any time in Customers.

8. Fees

The fees for your plan are the ones shown when you sign up or agreed with us in writing. Meta's WhatsApp message charges are separate and billed by Meta. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before changing your fees.

9. Availability

We work to keep DUMO Connect running and secure, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or when Meta, our hosting or the internet has a problem. Practice mode and the emergency stop are there so you stay in control of what is sent.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, DUMO is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and DUMO's total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. 11. Ending

You can stop using DUMO Connect at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these terms (for example, spam), and we will tell you why. When your account ends, you can download your data first; we then delete your data within 30 days, as set out in the DPA.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes at least 30 days before they apply. Using DUMO Connect after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia decide any dispute. [Lawyer to confirm.]
